About Me

My Son and I

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Here’s some information about me:

I am a 30 year old husband to the most wonderful woman in the world, a woman who God created just for me. I’m a father to one beautiful son, who has been nothing but a blessing in my life. We have another child on the way, possibly one more of many. My wife and I also just recently became licensed foster parents, so there may be many more blessings coming through our household in the next few years.

As a family we decided several months ago that we were going to trust in God with all the affairs of our life. First and foremost, is the number of children we will have biologically. This is commonly known as being Quiverfull. We have also entrusted God with all the financial, employment, etc. affairs of our life. We have found that by trusting in God’s plan, and submitting to His will, that things generally tend to turn out much better than they would if left up to us.

We have also decided as a family that all of our children(adopted or biological), will be homeschooled. We believe that this is what God’s Word has instructed us to do as parents. I believe that our children are not our own, they are God’s children. He entrusts them to us to raise them in Godly homes, to show them God’s love, to instruct them in His ways, and to walk with them through their lives.

I have only been a Christian for just over a year now(Testimony to follow), however my priorities and goals in life have radically changed in the last year. I have come from the cynically jaded evolutionary view that the Earth is overpopulated and needing population control, to the view that God put us here to have children and fill the earth. My priorities have morphed from wholly selfish aims to (as often as possible) selfless, and charitable ones; most importantly God, my wife and my children. All of this would not have been possible were it not for the Grace of God.

Your statement of faith really encourages me to take a bold step and said “Let’s trust the lord to provide for my family and homeschool our kid”.

What you wrote is beautiful & what a timely reminder for me…

“I believe that our children are not our own, they are God’s children. He entrusts them to us to raise them in Godly homes, to show them God’s love, to instruct them in His ways, and to walk with them through their lives.”

God Bless you and your family richly!
